Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Caramel: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns golden brown. Quickly pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.
  2. Mix the Custard: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
