- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 head of garlic, roasted and mashed
- 1 teaspoon salt, adjust to taste

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère) optional

Instructions
